What is the Michigan Climate Investment Hub?

A solutions-based statewide platform

The Michigan Climate Investment Hub (MCIH) is a statewide platform designed to help Michigan communities and organizations plan, finance, and deliver projects that support Michigan’s climate goals. We help turn ideas into financed, shovel-ready projects that will ensure climate investment delivers real economic, environmental, and community benefits for Michigan.

The Hub for connecting projects to resources.

We work at the intersection of project development, public policy, and capital alignment, supporting local governments, community organizations, and project partners as they navigate complex funding landscapes and move projects from concept to results.

Our goal is simple:

Make climate investment more accessible and work better for communities, for funders, and for Michigan.

Who We Support

The Hub is built to serve partners across Michigan’s communities and climate ecosystem.

Local Governments and Tribal Nations

Cities, counties, townships, regional authorities, and Tribal governments seeking support to plan and fund climate and infrastructure projects.

Community-Based Organizations

Nonprofits and frontline organizations advancing community-led climate solutions and local economic opportunity.

Project Developers and Utilities

Public and private entities developing clean energy, mobility, water, and resilience projects.

Funders and Financial Partners

State and federal agencies, philanthropy, lenders, and investors aligned around climate outcomes.

What We Do

Matching investment partners to your projects.

Regional and Local Programs and Initiatives

Through innovative consulting and strategic guidance, Michigan Climate Investment Hub is taking significant strides in leading climate investment projects that matter. We provide essential resources and knowledge to help communities thrive sustainably.

State Climate and Clean Energy Priorities and Policy

We are committed to advancing our state's climate policies and economic development priorities through innovative consulting projects. We believe that sustainable practices not only benefit the environment but also drive local economic growth.

Federal Climate and Infrastructure Programs

The Hub's focus is to navigate policy and convert it into investment decisions. By creating synergies between governmental initiatives, innovative projects, and available capital, we aim to optimize the use of federal climate funding in Michigan.
